Lime Tree Lodge New Zealand
Located at the foothills of the spectacular Southern Alps and Mt Aspiring National Park is Lime Tree Lodge, a five-star luxury retreat.
Set on 10 acres, just minutes from Lake Wanaka resort and a short drive from some of New Zealand’s finest vineyards, Lime Tree Lodge offers stunning 360 degree uninterrupted mountain views, luxuriously appointed accommodation, landscaped gardens, gourmet breakfasts and an introduction to the fine wine and produce of the region.
An avenue of 'tilea cordata' lime trees lends the Lodge its unique name and character. The rustic Central Otago exterior, featuring local schist stone, opens up into a modern and stylish interior with no expense spared on making the surroundings comfortable for guests.
Four elegant ensuite guestrooms and two superior suites are available. Crisp white cotton sheets and designer linen cover the king size beds, while works of art from New Zealand’s contemporary artists grace the walls. French doors open out to an expansive veranda and gardens with magnificent views towards the Southern Alps.
The four luxurious guestrooms are named after the superb range of rivers which flow through the region: Hawea (king/twin), New Zealand’s shortest river; Mata-Au (king/twin), the Maori name for the mighty Clutha, New Zealand’s largest volume river; Makarora (superking/twin) and the glacial fed waters of the Matukituki (superking/twin).
Each guestroom features an ensuite with shower. French Doors open out to the garden from each room and outdoor settings provide a relaxing vantage point to take in the alpine views. Tea and coffee, home-baking, fresh fruit, chocolate and Pisa mineral water are all on hand for guests to savour throughout their stay.
All rooms provide complimentary Linden Leaves toiletries (an award winning range of lime-infused NZ made bath & body-care products), heated towel rails and heated tiled floors, hairdryers, bath robes, slippers, cotton bed linen, fresh flowers, writing desks and telephones.
The Linden Suite has a fresh, contemporary feel, with the open-plan bedroom and private lounge opening out to an expansive veranda and garden area. This suite features a superking bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. In addition to the guestroom features, this suite provides tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge stocked with light refreshments, digital TV, CD/DVD Player and private internet access.
Black Peak Suite, our Executive suite, affords the greatest privacy from other guests. Its black-oak décor, leather furnishings and private lounge with log fire make this the perfect haven for a well-deserved winter retreat. Black Peak Suite also features a spacious master bedroom, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, kitchenette and dining area, separate study / bunkroom and its own private terrace. In summer, throw open the French doors and enjoy one of many delicious, local wines with sweeping views towards Black Peak and the Southern Alps.
The stylish guest lounge and dining room lead out to landscaped gardens and the swimming pool and spa pool area. Guests can enjoy complimentary aperitifs and the finest Central Otago wines overlooking the mountains … or why not try a Vodka Gimlet – Lime Tree Lodge’s suggested aperitif made with New Zealand’s very own ’42 below’ Vodka and freshly squeezed lime juice.
Guests of Lime Tree Lodge will enjoy gourmet breakfasts including fresh fruit, bottled stone-fruit (grown in nearby Cromwell, the 'fruit bowl' of New Zealand), home-made muesli, marmalade and chutneys, local honey and bacon, gourmet sausages and free range eggs produced by our very own hens, freshly ground Allpress coffee and an extensive range of Harney & Sons teas.
Lime Tree Lodge is renowned for its attentive service with hosts, Sally and Rebecca providing special touches to make your stay relaxed and memorable. Relax in front of a roaring log fire with a glass of local Pinot Noir or soak up the warm Central Otago sun by the pool in summer months.
All tariffs include a gourmet breakfast, with buffet and cooked options, complimentary aperitifs in the evening, all day tea, coffee, home-baking and fresh fruit, mineral water, unlimited fast internet access (broadband & wireless), courtesy transfers into Wanaka and from / to Wanaka Airport (8:00 am to 8:00 pm), a full restaurant and activities reservations service and full use of the lodge facilities.
