Tautuku Forest Cabins
Forest and Bird Society cabins on the Lenz Reserve at Tautuku, in the heart of The Catlins. Forest walks in Lenz Reserve, 5 mins drive to beach, central to all Catlins attractions. By booking these cabins, you are contributing to conservation.
3 SEPARATE CABINS. (No linen provided - you need sleeping bags and pillowcases. You must clean your own accommodation & bathroom on departure):
* THE COTTAGE (sleeps 8-10) For small groups, see "NOTE" below.
* COUTTS CABIN (sleeps 4)
* A-FRAME (sleeps 2)

All cabins are self-contained with: fridge, cooker, microwave, dishes, cutlery and pots. Book the cabin which suits the number in your group, but pay only for the number of adults and children who stay.
NOTE: Groups with fewer than 5 people may only book THE COTTAGE if no other cabin is available.

CANCELLATIONS
There is a $20 cancellation fee. On top of this, any cancellation within 30 days of arrival at Tautuku means that only 50% of the payment will be refunded.
FOREST & BIRD SOCIETY MEMBERS
There is a small discount available for Forest & Bird society members. Members wishing to claim the discount can apply for it after staying at Tautuku.. They need to email their membership number and bank account details.
Room Descriptions
- A-FRAME
- A-frame cabin with two single beds, small lounge/kitchen. Toilet and shower are in an adjacent separate building but are exclusively for use by the guests in the A-frame. Cooking and eating utensils supplied, bring own bedding, towels and tea towels. Heating and cooking are with electricity. Guests must clean the A-frame and its bathroom before departure.

- COUTTS CABIN
- COUTTS CABIN has two bedrooms each with two single beds, and a lounge/kitchen area. Toilet and shower are in an adjacent separate building but are exclusively for use by the guests in Coutts Cabin. Cooking and eating utensils supplied, bring own bedding, towels and tea towels. Heating and cooking are with electricity. Guests must clean Coutts Cabin and its bathroom before departure.

- THE COTTAGE
- PLEASE NOTE: If your party has fewer than 5 people, you may only book the cottage if the other cabins are already booked.
The Cottage has 2 bunkrooms, each with 4 beds and 2 sleepable sofas in the lounge. The cottage has separate men's and women's bathrooms each with 2 toilets and a shower. Heating is with electricity (heat pump). Guests need to bring all bedding and towels and to clean the facility before departure. - Book Here
