Tauherenikau Racetrack Ranch and Motorhome Park
Set among beautiful native bush and 100-year-old trees, we offer budget back-packer accommodation as well as our new Motorhome and Caravan park located in magnificent, picturesque, peaceful surroundings. We have 10 powered sites available at a rate of $35 per night and non-powered sites are available at $15 per Motorhome or Caravan for two people. Extra adults are $7.50 per night and kids under 15 $4 per night. Special rates for a week or more are available, and NZMCA members receive a 10% discount. Your dog is also welcome to join you on site.
Showers and toilets are available in the adjacent accommodation block midweek on request by calling 021 2710364 and toilets are available in the area above the Motorhome park all year around. There is also water available onsite
The Race Track Ranch offers accommodation in the form of 20 rooms, 8 with double beds and 11 twins. Set in beautiful native bush, the rustic look fits with the country surroundings and offers a back-to-nature experience. The Ranch House is ideal for groups looking for budget style accommodation (twin share) with excellent facilities. The accommodation includes tea and coffee making facilities, a large kitchen and dining room with separate shower and toilet facilities.
Pony clubs, team building groups, scouts, girl guides, pippins, sewing clubs, choir groups, cake decorators, family reunions all have enjoyed this great facility. Whats more, they keep coming back
The ranch is handy to all South Wairarapa attractions, including Martinborough vineyards, and cafes. The Tin Hut country pub is right next door, and is an ideal spot for a weekend brunch or a delicious evening meal.
The tariff is $40 per head with linen and towels included.
