Nestled in the native West Coast bush adjoining the Paparoa National Park, and only 3kms north of the spectacular Pancake Rocks and Blow Holes, Te Nikau Retreat truly is one of the most unique accommodation secrets you're likely to come across in your travels.
The 10 secluded character lodges and cottages, surrounded by tropical Nikau palms, bamboo and bush all have fantastic facilities and home comforts.
Wake to the dawn chorus of native birds, and at night drift off to the relaxing sound of the New Zealand bush and distant ocean.
We cater to small groups, families and independent travellers looking for a exclusive experience. You will always want to stay longer than a night and there is lots to do in the area.

We are a scenic walk from the village and local attractions. Pick ups are available for bus travellers from the DOC information centre in Punakaiki with prior booking. The spectacular Truman track beach is only a few minutes from us and is the best place to be at sunset.
